Top Ten lists are inherently silly. And best movie lists are the silliest of the bunch. How do you put numbers on the films you loved? That’s like asking you to rank your children (please, don’t rank your children). For me, it’s kind of random. My lists today will look different tomorrow and so on, all depending on my mood. But I get the appeal. We like order and we like pitting things against each other. Human nature and all that. And, yeah, I read a ton of ‘em myself. I guess there’s a Rob Fleming in all of us.

With that in mind, the Florida Film Critics Circle has asked us members to create a best movies of the decade list. These are to be personal choices and not what we think the masses would consider the best of the past ten years (this’ll become abundantly clear when you see my number 10 choice). But without further ado, here are my favorite movies from 2010 through 2019:
